LIBERTY CENTER FIRE DEPARTMENT
The Liberty Center Volunteer Fire Department serves in Liberty Township and
in mutual aid to other fire departments in Wells County and Huntington County.
The Departments fire equipment includes the 401-pumper, the 405-tanker,
the 407-grass truck and the 408-equipment truck plus the Rescue 4 rescue and
mini-pumper.
The Chief is Jeremy Daugherty. The Assistant Chief is Josh Daugherty. Captains
are Tim Morris and Keith Stinson. The Safety Officer is Tim Thompson. The Secretary-Treasurer
is Gayla Grove.
First responders are Jeremy Daugherty, Josh Daugherty, Tim Thompson, Gayla Grove,
Trenton Markley, Jim Platt and Scott Turmail.The department has a total of 19
active firefighters and 4 that are currently being trained. 16 of the members
trained to use the ice rescue equipment acquired by the Wells County Emergency
Management Agency. Also available are two Chester Township firefighters trained
to use the ice rescue equipment.
CHESTER TOWNSHIP FIRE DEPARTMENT
Donald Oswalt is the chief of the Chester Township Fire Department. Lamoine
Nusbaumer and Keith Paxson are assistant chiefs. The treasurer is Ken Oswalt,
the secretary is D. J. Henderson, the vice president is Jody Nusbaumer and the
president is Kevin Couch. The Directors are Dale Gearhart, Brian Hollingsworth
and Sarah Frederickson.
Other firefighters include Stanley Bales, Glen Briles, Kyle Couch, Derek Fox,
Glen Gilbert, Mike Gilbert, Olan Gilbert, Rodger Grover, James Harris, Brian
Hollingsworth, David Lane, Terry Leyman, Kerry Oswalt, Daniel Perry, Jim Thompson
and Don Wallace. First responders are Don Oswalt, Ken Oswalt, Keith Paxson and
Deanna Henderson.
NOTTINGHAM TOWNSHIP FIRE DEPARTMENT
The Nottingham Township Volunteer Fire Department provides Nottingham Township
with fire suppression, medical first response and other emergency services.
