OSSIAN
The town of Ossian has an elected five-member Town Council and an elected Clerk-Treasurer.
The council meets on the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. The headquarter
of the government is the Ossian Town Hall, 507 North Jefferson Street, Ossian.
The town government is elected on a non-partisan basis.

The Ossian Park Board has responsibilities for park facilities that include the
Ossian Ballpark, walking trail, the Sandalwood Park and new tennis courts behind
the Town Hall. Acquired in 1999 was the Rupright property for a large new park
development. The Park Board meets on the first Monday of each month at 7 p.m.
at the Ossian Town Hall (except that the September meeting is scheduled for Tuesday,
Sept. 2). The Park Board vice president is Don Ferrell, 209 N. Ogden, Ossian,
622-7511. Other Park Board members are Lee Byerly, Kelly Tucker, Bill Crane and
Bret Miller.
