Wilma L. Hobbs, 63

Wilma L. Hobbs, 63, of Decatur, died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. Her death followed an extended illness.
Mrs. Hobbs was born July 19, 1950, at Celina, Ohio, to James B. Carter and Jessie Myers Carter. She married Gerald E. Hobbs Dec. 28, 1968, in Coldwater, Ohio; her husband died May 8, 2011.
She was a member of the Cornerstone Community Church in Decatur and was previously a member of Covenant Chapel in Bluffton. She was a 1997 graduate of Ivy Tech and worked as a licensed practical nurse for the Markle Medical Center, retiring in 2007.
Survivors include three daughters, Alison S. (Devon) Bantz of Bluffton, Angela N. (Anthony) Dickerson of Frankfort, and Teresa J. (Don) Hess of Decatur; a son, Timothy W. (Ellen) Hobbs  of Bluffton; 12 grandchildren, Chelsea Coons, Ashlan Coons, Caitlyn Coons, Austin Coons, Andrea Dickerson, Aaron Dickerson, Arissa Dickerson, Abigayle Dickerson, Zachary Hess, Elizabeth Hess, Ray (Chas) Stout, and Steve (Courtney) Stout; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lola (Lester) McDowell of Celina, Ohio, and Virginia Wood of Fort Recovery, Ohio.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James O. Carter, and two sisters, Lula Crouch and Juanita Lindley.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur with Pastor Ken Hogg officiating. Burial will be at the Decatur Cemetery. Calling will be from 2 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Decatur.
