Warren Schladenhauffen, 89

The brother of a Bluffton man, Warren A Schladenhauffen 89, of Auburn and formerly of Angola, died Sunday May 20, 2012, at his home in Auburn.
He was born Feb. 12, 1923 in Decatur to Emil and Lillie Ann (Fisley) Schladenhauffen, and married Marjorie E. Steffen on Sept. 23, 1945 in Bluffton; she died August 2, 2010.
He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and worked at Dur-Enamel Paint Company for 34 years before retiring in 1985.
He was a member of Grace Summit Church and Calvary Ministries International.
Survivors include a daughter and son, Ann M. (Jay) Liechty of Auburn, and Warren D. (Candace) Schladenhauffen of LaGrange; a brother, Harold Schladenhauffen of Bluffton; and two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Esther Aschleman, Edith Stultz, and Clara Fiechter; and four brothers Amos, Sam, Charles and Everett Schladenhauffen.
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012 at the Life Bridge Church, 12719 Corbin Road, Fort Wayne, with Rev. Larry Goodwin officiating. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service, from 1 to 3 at the church Saturday.
