Wanita Cable, 85

The mother of a Craigville woman, Wanita Cable, 85, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014.
Wanita was the daughter of the late Delbert Thatcher and the late Catherine (Banning) Thatcher. She married Norbert D. Cable Sept. 29, 1946, in Monmouth, Ind.; he passed away Aug. 9, 2003.
Wanita had worked at Automatic Sprinkler in Monroe, Ind., for 26 years.
Surviving are four daughters, Gloria Loshe of Decatur, Brenda (Andy) Wolf of Craigville, Rebecca E. (James) Fuelling of Decatur, and Cathy Runyon of Decatur; one son, Roger D. (Janet) Cable of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Gene (Vivian) Thatcher of Willshire, Ohio; six sisters, Virgie Lister of Decatur, Mary Dick of Decatur, Marjorie (Larry) Hileman of Rockford, Ohio, Virginia (Harold) Vanhorn of Decatur, Elsie (Lowell) Beougher of Rockford, Ohio, and Darlene (Conley) Marsee of Rockford, Ohio; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding Wanita in death were four brothers, Reynold, Preston, Alvin, and Joseph Thatcher; two sisters, Bonnie Sutton Ellison and Rose Johnson; and one son-in-law, David Runyon.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, at the St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, and one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday.
