Samuel E. Shinabery, 68

Samuel E. Shinabery, 68, of Craigville, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012. 
He was born on Oct. 29, 1943, in Fort Wayne, to Samuel S. Shinabery and Emma G. Berry Shinabery.  He retired from ITT as an auto mechanic instructor after 30 years.
He was a member of Fort Wayne R&R, Ossian Conservation Club, Decatur Eagles Flying Club, and the NRA.  He enjoyed flying model planes, teaching gun safety to children, racing motorcycles, and was proud to be an expert marksman. 
Surviving family include his wife, Deborah M. (Lers) Shinabery of Craigville; a son, Daniel L. Shinabery of Fort Wayne; two stepdaughters, Cassandra L. James of Bluffton and Samantha M. Steinhausen of Ossian; two brothers, Kay R. Shinabery of Fort Wayne and Kevin Shinabery of Ohio; and 11 grandchildren. 
A memorial service will be held at a later date. The Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 W. Mill St., Ossian, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Mizpah Shriners in Fort Wayne.
