Roberta I. Hott, 87

Roberta I. Hott, 87, of Bluffton, passed away at 7:20 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur. She recently had lived at Evergreen Court in Decatur for more than two years.
Roberta was born Nov. 9, 1925, in Wells County, to Brenton F. Nutter and Verna May Booher Nutter.
She graduated from Petroleum High School with the class of 1943. Mrs. Hott retired as the Petroleum postmaster in 1991 after 20 years of service. She was also a member of the Reiffsburg United Methodist Church and the National Association of Postmasters.
She married Clement M. Hott Feb. 2, 1946, in Linn Grove, Ind. They shared 37 years of marriage together before he preceded her in death in 1983.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Steven F. and Mary Hott of Winter Springs, Fla., along with a granddaughter, Stephanie Ann Hott, also of Winter Springs.
A private family graveside will take place at the Stahl Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice through the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Thoma/Rich, Chaney and Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton.
