Robert Kaehr, 65

Robert “Bob” Wayne Kaehr, 65, of Bluffton, passed away at 8:50 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at Meadowvale Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Bluffton on Oct. 6, 1946, to Ervin “Kelly” and Irene E. (Adams) Kaehr, he was a 1966 graduate of Lancaster High School and attended the Apostolic Christian Church.
Mr. Kaehr served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was a chef on the U.S.S. John F. Kennedy from 1968 to 1969. He worked at Sterling Casting for 10 years and enjoyed bowling.
He is survived by a brother, Richard “Dick” L. (Sandy) Kaehr of Bluffton. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Patricia A. Kaehr.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Goodwin Memorial Chapel with Steve Ringger officiating. Calling hours are Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Goodwin Memorial Chapel and Wednesday for one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to the church.
