Carolyn J. (Hanlin) Hoffacker, 78

Carolyn J. (Hanlin) Hoffacker, 78, of Wells County, passed away at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at  Swiss Village, Berne. 
She was born Thursday, Oct. 15, 1936. She married Marcy Dee Hoffacker on Saturday, May 19, 1951, in Liberty Center; he passed away Jan. 23, 2008. 
Carolyn retired from Helena Chemical Company after many years of service. She enjoyed traveling, boating and fishing. She liked animals and going to horse shows, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandkids.
Survivors include two grandsons, Troy (Sherry) Zook and Tyler (Laurie) Hoffacker, both of Bluffton; two granddaughters, Stephanie Hoffacker and Tasha Lockwood, both of Bluffton; a daughter-in-law, Vickie Hoffacker, of Liberty Center; two brothers-in-law, Von (Johanna) Hoffacker of Monroeville and Stanley (Carol) Hoffacker of Uniondale; three sisters, Ellen Bulzone of Staten Island, N.Y., Nina Stultz of Montpelier, and Martha Kimmel of Garrett; a brother, John Hanlin of Pennville; and 12 great-granchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George E. Hanlin Sr. and Edwina Edmundson Hanlin; a daughter, Connie Lee Zook; a son, Larry D. Hoffacker; and a brother, George E. “Ace” Hanlin Jr.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 2 at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier.
A service to celebrate Carolyn’s life will be at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Friday, April 3, with viewing held before the service from noon until 2 p.m. The Rev. Wilbur Taylor will be officiating at the service. Burial will follow at the Jones Cemetery in Wells County.
