Josephine P. Elzey, 91, of Bluffton, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, at Visiting Nurse Hospice Home in Fort Wayne
Born in Elwood, she worked for Guide Lamp in Anderson, Meat cutter at A&P in Elwood, Bluebell Jean in Columbia City, worked at the Wells County Public Library in the genealogy department until she was 85, taught roller skating, and loved watching the Indiana Pacers. She was also an avid Foo dog collector and great story teller.
Surviving are her daughters, Roberta J. (Richard) Brown of Lakeland, Fla., and Nancy M. (Charles) Vetter of Lutz, Fla.; grandchildren, Richard (Beth) Johns and Randall (Trish) Johns of Kokomo, Joni (Wirley) De Souza of Mishawaka, and Denise (Laron) Johns-Newsom of Tampa, Fla., Mike Lomont, Sean (Jen) Twiats and Bridget (Mike) Hamm of Fort Wayne; great-grandchildren, Christopher and Ryan Johns, Robert (Stacy) Hoffman, Charlie ( Jay) Hoffman, Alisha Hoffman, April Johns, Randall Johns of Kokomo, Phillip (Ashley) De Souza of Lincoln, Neb., Tiago De Souza of Mishawaka, Jackson, Carson, Zachary,  and Taylor Hamm of Fort Wayne; great-great-grandchildren, Nikolas and Mason De Souza of Lincoln, Neb., Serenity, Jaden, Sophia, Carina Hoffman,  Bently Johns of Kokomo.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Robert E. Louderback and Vilas Elzey, parents Pauline and James Bernard Sr., brother James Bernard Jr., a half-sister Laurellen Hill and daughter Joanne Neiman.
Service is 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, at Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home of Bluffton with calling one hour prior to the service. Pastor Steve Bard will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Bluffton.  Memorials can be made to the Wells County Council on Aging.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton.
