Richard P. Kiser, 74, of Bluffton, died at 6:55 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011, at the Meadowvale Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bluffton.
Mr. Kiser was a 12-year employee of Peyton’s Northern in Bluffton, retiring in 2000. He enjoyed fishing and traveling with his wife, loved old country and western movies, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was born Dec. 7, 1937, in Adams County, to Kenneth L. Kiser and Clara L. Urick Kiser. He married Maymie “Geneva” Ball Dec. 18, 1999, in Bluffton; his wife survives.
Also surviving are two sons, John Kiser of Fort Wayne and Quincy Eugene Kiser of Arizona; four daughters, Bonnie (David) Kinsey of Bluffton, Debbie Kiser of Fort Wayne, Lisa Kiser of Fort Wayne, and Cindy (Dan) Murdock of Decatur; five stepsons, Stan Prater, Roger Prater, Harold Prater, Bruce Prater, and Randy Prater, all of Bluffton; five step-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth D. Kiser of Fort Wayne; and a sister, Phyllis A. (John) Heller of Decatur.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert Kiser and Vernon Kiser; and two sisters, Mary Landrum and Norma Dellinger.
Calling will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel with Pastor Wayne Ball officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Preferred memorials are to Family Life Care in Berne.
