Ned W. Liechty, 62

Ned W. Liechty, 62, of Berne, died Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Adams Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 10, 1951, in Adams County to Rolandes and Augusta Wulliman Liechty. He married Geney Caster March 25, 1978; she survives.
He was a member of First Missionary Church. Ned was a well-known farmer, and a member of the Berne Zoning Appeals Board and Plan Commission for 20 years.
His special interests included collecting and restoring antique tractors.
Additional survivors include two sons, Nathan (Sheri) Liechty of Bluffton and Luke Liechty of Berne; a daughter, Elizabeth Liecthy of Berne; four sisters, Nancy Oyer of Berne, Rosetta (Gary) Habegger of Uniontown, Ohio, Sara (Paul) Compton of Franklin, Tenn., and Vivian (Michael) Haney of Mishawaka; a brother, Gregg (Betty) Liechty of Berne; and one grandson, Grayson Liechty.
He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Russ Oyer; his mother-in-law, Mary Ann Caster; and his father-in-law, George Caster.
A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 15, at 1st Missionary Church with Pastor Don Williams and Pastor Larry Evans officiating.
Calling hours are from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 14, and one hour prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be at MRE Cemetery.
