Wilmer G. Nash, 89

Wilmer “Bud” G. Nash, 89, of Bluffton, passed away Monday, Sept. 29, 2014, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Mr. Nash was born Sept. 27, 1925, in Bluffton to Harold S. Nash Sr. and Dortha Elizabeth Maddux Nash. He was a 1944 graduate of Bluffton High School and served in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946 during World War II and was honorably discharged as a S.1.C. Bud worked at Franklin Electric in Bluffton for 35 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witnesses in Bluffton.
On Aug. 1, 1955 in Angola, he married Alice Jane Finley Nash. They have shared the last 59 years together and she survives in Bluffton, along with children, Lynn Therrien of Bluffton, Donald Harold Nash of Fort Wayne and Robert Bruce Nash of Bluffton. He is also survived by three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by siblings, Joan Hodle and Nellie Butcher, Martha Salge and Harold Nash Jr.; along with a granddaughter, Stephanie Therrien-Pratt.
A memorial service will be held in the future at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Bluffton.
Memorials may be made to charity of the donor’s choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton.
