Martha B. Heyerly, 92, died at 9:10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at the Christian Care Retirement Community.
Mrs. Heyerly was a housewife who helped her husband, Luster Heyerly, with Heyerly’s Market in Bluffton. She also had worked for a time at General Electric in Fort Wayne.
She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church.
She was born Jan. 27, 1920, in Wells County, to William Neuenschwander and Lizzie Schwartz Neuenschwander. She married Luster Heyerly Feb. 13, 1943, in Bluffton; her husband preceded her in death Feb. 8, 2012.
Survivors include a son, Herbert (Janet) Heyerly of Bluffton; a daughter, Sue (John) Lantz of Bluffton; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles (Doris) Neuenschwander, John (Irene) Neuenschwander, and William Neuenschwander, all of Bluffton; and three sisters, Lucille Grandlienard, Betty (William) Frauhiger, and Joyce (Howard) Baumgartner, all of Bluffton.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Neuenschwander, and four sisters, Virgie Isch, Ada Gerber, Anna Frauhiger, and Ellen Fiechter.
Calling will be from 1 to 5 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel. There will be additional calling from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Apostolic Christian Church East. Services will be held at the church at 10:30 a.m. Monday with Doyle Frauhiger and Steve Frauhiger officiating. Burial will be at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery.
