Bernard Edward Buck, 87, of Fort Wayne, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 20, at Lutheran Life Villages.
Born Aug. 8, 1927, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Edward and Marrietta (Schrieber) Buck.
Bernard proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during the World War II era. He studied business at the Fort Wayne International Business College and was the owner of Shoe Shack for over 15 years, retiring in 1991.
Bernard was a member at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church and enjoyed golfing, bowling and playing cards, especially pinochle.
He is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn (Dennis) Buck, of Fort Wayne; two sons, Bruce Buck, of Fort Wayne, and Brian (Nancy) Buck, of Bluffton; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marilyn (Don) Strong, of Fort Wayne, and Melinda (Wayne) Baughman, of Wolcottville.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26, at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 1819 Reservation Drive, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Burial will be at Covington Memorial Gardens in Fort Wayne.
