Lila Mittlestedt, 95

Lila K. Mittlestedt, 95, formerly of Bluffton, passed away at 10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Kissimmee, Fla.
Lila was born Nov. 11, 1918, in Curtiss, Wis., to Ralph and Alma (Neitzel) Green. She married Alfred E. Mittlestedt July 2, 1938; he preceded her in death Oct. 26, 1987.
Lila was a member of the First Presbyterian Church while living in Bluffton. She and Alfred moved to Ocala, Fla., in 1970 following Alfredʼs retirement after many years as a supervisor in maintenance at Franklin Electric. Following Alfredʼs death she moved to Good Samaritan Retirement Village in 2008 to be near her son in Davenport, Fla., where she resided at the time of her death.
She is survived by two sons, Donald (Connie) Mittlestedt of Bluffton and James (Sally) Mittlestedt of Davenport, Fla., and nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Yvonne “Bonnie” Fisher; a granddaughter, Laura Kay Mittlestedt; and two sisters, Shirley Lovett and Jeanette Goldamer.
Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at the Thoma/Rich, Chaney & Lemler Funeral Home. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery.
