Janelle Riley, 68

Janelle Riley, 68, of Monroe, died at 2:10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, at the Adams Woodcrest retirement community.
She was born Oct. 22, 1945, at Decatur, to Floyd M. Roth and Mildred Henschen Roth. She married Gale Riley Oct. 17, 1964, at the Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren in Adams County. Her husband survives.
She was a member of the Pleasant Dale church, where she played the piano and the organ.  She was also active in the Ladies Aid at the church and taught Sunday School. 
She had been employed at  the Berne Apparel Co. for more than 20 years.
Also surviving is a son, Todd (Raquel) Riley of Decatur; a daughter, Theresa (Eric) Braun of Monroe; five grandchildren, Adam Braun, David Braun, and Riley Braun of Monroe and Garrick Hoverman and Alisha Hoverman of Decatur; a great-grandchild, Carter Perez; and a brother, Roger (Nancy) Roth of Berne.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by an infant brother.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at the Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren with Pastor Jay Carter officiating. Burial will be at the Tricker Cemetery.
Calling will be from noon to 4 p.m. and from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur.
Preferred memorials are to the American Cancer Society.
