Hurb Lee Fuller, 68, of rural Markle, passed away Aug. 11, 2014, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
Hurb was born Sept. 18, 1945, in Wells County to Willard T. and Marcelle P. McBride Fuller. He married Karen “Christine” Roberts Fuller in April of 1993 in Bluffton. She preceded him in death March 25, 2011.
He was a 1963 graduate of Bluffton High School and worked for Wayne Metal Products in Markle from 1972 to 2001. He served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1971. Hurb was a member of the American Legion Post 111 of Bluffton. He enjoyed camping, target shooting, and re-loading gun ammunition.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Boots of Lafayette and Rebecca (Tim) Alford of New Castle; three sons, Donn (Tina) Boots of Hartford City, James Boots of Hartford City, and Matt Boots of Bluffton; four sisters, Garnet Lantz of Los Lunas, N. M., Jeanne Fuller of Huntington, Bonnie (Jerry) Pace of Columbia City, and Patti Davidson of Huntington; two brothers, David (Frances) Fuller of Fort Wayne and Larry (Colleen) Fuller of Leipsic, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and two brothers, Jim and George Fuller.
Services will be held at noon Saturday, Aug. 16, at the Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel. Calling hours are from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Mossburg Cemetery. Graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 111 of Bluffton in conjunction with the United States Army Honor Guard.
