Hope D. Worster, 90

Hope D. Worster, 90, a former resident of Huntington and Markle, passed away Monday afternoon, Aug. 18, 2014, at Heritage Pointe in Warren.
Hope was a homemaker. She was a 1943 graduate of West Union High School and a member of the Markle Church of Christ. Hope loved to play bingo and cards and was an avid bowler. She loved to travel and enjoyed fishing. Hope was a wonderful grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Hope was born Nov. 18, 1923, in Huntington County, to Arthur E. Smith and Effie Mae Hite Smith. She married C. Garl Worster July 28, 1945, in Markle. Her husband preceded her in death March 26, 1993.
Survivors include three sons, Joe (Nancy) Worster of Huntington, Curtis (Earlynn) Worster of Markle, and Larry (Pamela) Worster of Huntington; two daughters, Vicki (John) King of Billings, Mo., and Patty (Larry) Burnworth of Huntington; 12 grandchildren and several great- and great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mary Miller of Huntington; and a brother-in-law, Roger Worster of Florida.
She was preceded in death by a son, Max Worster; a grandson, Kevin Worster; four brothers, Leonard Smith, Glen Smith, Vaughn Smith, and Jay Smith; and two sisters, Helen Fusselman and Delight Wiley.
Calling will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, at the Myers Funeral Home, Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St., Markle. Services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Thusday, Aug. 21, with Gerald O. Moreland officiating. Interment will be at the Markle Cemetery.
