Edna Butler, 96

Edna D. Butler, 96, of Ossian, formerly of the Van Buren and Warren area, died at 3:35 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Bluffton Regional Medical Center.
She was born March 2, 1917, in Grant County, to Orval F. Taylor and Ival Bell Taylor. She married Jonathan W. Butler Feb. 29, 1936; her husband preceded her in death.
Survivors include four daughters, Bonnie (Ronald) Burns of Poneto, Pat Bales of Liberty Center, Sandra Sue (Steven) Brant of Hermon, Maine, and Carolyn Kay Butler of Tequesta, Fla.; a son, James (Marlise) Butler, Libby, Mont.; and 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, JoAnn McCreary; two brothers, William “Red” Taylor and Walter Taylor; a sister, Olive Carnes; and one grandchild.
Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Glancy H. Brown & Son Funeral Home in Warren. Services will be held there at 11 a.m. Saturday. Interment will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery, rural Marion.
