Alma Coldiron, 82

Alma Coldiron, 82, formerly of Ossian, went home to be with her Lord Tuesday evening, July 28, 2015, at Coventry Meadows in Fort Wayne.
Born in Bledsoe, Ky., Dec. 27, 1932, to Grant and Lona Blanton Jackson, she married Cam Coldiron in Harlan, Ky., Oct. 10, 1949; he preceded her in death in 2002.
Alma graduated from Pineville School of Nursing in 1974 and worked several years as a licensed practicing nurse. She had also sold Raleigh products for many years. She was a member of the Ossian Church of the Nazarene.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, known by all her family members as “Mama.” She was a gifted homemaker and a joy. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by a son, Allan D. (Ruby) Coldiron of Ossian; three grandchildren, Mechelle Simon (Rich), Chip Coldiron (Candis), and Angela Mullennix (Jeremy); and four great-grandchildren, Zachary Ferry, Jacob Ferry, Leah Mullennix, and Garrett Mullennix.
Aside from her parents, Alma was preceded in death by an infant son, Danny Gerald Coldiron; two sisters, Ora Stolz and Rose Nantz; and five brothers, Hays, Estle, Orville, Alex, and Harvey Jackson.
Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 1, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 11 a.m., at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Miller officiating. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery in Ossian.
