Charles ‘Fred’ Bouse, 86

Charles “Fred” Bouse, 86, of Fiat, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at his residence.
He was born Monday, March 7, 1927, in Jay County and was a lifetime Jay County resident.
He married Patricia E. “Pat” Duff Saturday, Dec. 4, 1948, in Bluffton; she preceded him in death.
Fred was a 1945 graduate of Pennville High School. He had retired after 41 years of service from Dana Corporation in Fort Wayne. Fred was a lifetime Fiat (Penn Township in Jay County) farmer. He was a member of the Tri State Gas Engine and Tractor Association in Portland. Fred enjoyed John Deere tractors, especially his 1957 620. He liked to garden, take nature rides on his golf cart and spend time at home as a loving husband and father.
Survivors include one daughter, Rebecca Ann Bouse of Fort Wayne.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Bouse; mother, Carrie (Hinshaw) Bouse; wife, Patricia E. “Pat” Bouse; son, Larry Joe Bouse; son, Harold William Bouse; sister, Juanita Beers; and brothers, Harley Bouse and Howard Bouse.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier, Wednesday, Feb. 26, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, one hour before the service.
A service to celebrate Fred’s life will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, with Pastor Mitch Corwin officiating. Interment will follow in the Twin Hill - I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Pennville.
Preferred memorials are to Pennville Fire Department  P.O. Box 252, Pennville, IN 47369 or the donor’s favorite charity.                    
Arrangements are being handled by Walker & Glancy Funeral Home in Montpelier.
