Welcome to our new website! We’ve been working on this project for several months and hope that the new organization and presentation will be to your liking.
We’ve added a number of new features:
- Letters to the Editor
While we’ve long posted “Our Opinions,” we want the website to be more interactive and include your input. So we will begin posting the Letters that have been published in our print edition. Look for the link to “Your Letters” on the Opinions page.
- The Forum
Your chance to comment on the articles, columns, editorials and letters. You can have responses to your comments emailed to you if you choose. You will need to register (it’s free) and responses will be reviewed before they are posted on the website. We reserve the right to edit comments and withhold posting.
- Email the writer
Links will be made from by-lines (which will show other articles on the site by that writer) and a link to email the writer will be available at the bottom of each story.
- Weather forecasts
Easy to find on the front page, with current conditions, and live radar is just one click away.
- Archives
You can search items that have been posted on our website dating back to Dec. 1, 2004.
- AP Videos
This feature was actually added within the past few months. The Associated Press provides breaking-news videos that are constantly updated.
- On-line classifieds!
Sell your stuff 24/7. Place your classified ads on-line. It’s quick and easy and you can add some catchy attention getters to make your ad standout.
Coming Soon...
We will also be adding some new features in the near future. Watch for “Marketplace” and “Coupons!” ... two new features that will help you save time and money at local and area businesses.
