Cari Whicker of Uniondale has been appointed to one position and reappointed to another by Gov. Mitch Daniels.
Whicker, who is a sixth-grade language arts teacher at Riverview Middle School in Huntington, was appointed to the board of the Public Employees’ Retirement Fund. Her term expires June 30, 2013.
The PERF board oversees the financial management of public employment retirement funds. Whicker is one of five gubernatorial appointees.
Whicker was also reappointed to the board of trustees of the Teacher’s Retirement Fund. That board oversees the financial management of teacher retirement funds.
Whicker is among five gubernatorial appointees to that board. Her term expires June 30, 2014.
