The Bluffton Board of Public Works and Safety let it be known Tuesday that it will keep an eye on the repairs to the fire-damaged Morrow Block building.
The board members — Mayor Ted Ellis, James Phillabaum, and Melanie Durr — modified an order to correct what has been determined to be an unsafe structure Tuesday afternoon. It added a 48-hour deadline to secure the building from unwanted access; other than that, it was in substantial agreement with a timetable that owner Brock Rittenhouse left in Ellis’s office late last week.
