The Wells County Foundation Inc. was one of the honored organizations that participated in the Planned Giving Council of Northeast Indiana’s 10th annual Leave a Legacy Write a Will campaign.
The Wells County Foundation Inc. was one of the northeast Indiana community foundations, corporate foundations, and local and area foundations who were financial contributors that helped launch the program in 1999. The awards program was held last month.
Also recognized were past committee chairmen, Fort Wayne Newspapers, the Allen County Public Library, and the Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department Community Center.
Zis Milentis, president of PGCNI, presented plaques to honored organizations, including The Wells County Foundation, Inc.
Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry addressed those in attendance to compliment honorees for their contribution to philanthropy. Also speaking was Tanya Howe Johnson, Certified Estate Planner and president of the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning, headquartered in Indianapolis. PPP is the parent organization for PGCNI.
