Four representatives of the Bluffton/Wells County Chamber of Commerce — Executive Director Suzanne Huffman, Wells County Economic Development Director Mike Row, plus Chuck King and Phillip Stoller — were in Indianapolis this past Tuesday for Chamber Day at the Statehouse.
The group viewed the Indiana House and Indiana Senate in session, joined area legislators for discussions, and toured the Statehouse. The group also had lunch at the Columbia Club with State Rep. Jeff Espich, R-Uniondale; State Sen. Travis Holdman, R-Markle; and State Sen. Dennis Kruse, R-Auburn.
The group also met in the committee room of the House Ways and Means Committee; Espich is the ranking Republican on that committee. While there, they discussed unemployment insurance and education budgets.
