Dorrance Stinson, who has served as the Harrison Township trustee for the past 15 years, has resigned that position effective April 1.
“We hear much these days of issues surrounding accountability for elected officials couched in terms of transparency and integrity,” Dorrance Stinson said in his letter addressed to the Wells County GOP Central Committee dated Jan. 28. “I am also aware that over the course of weeks there may be a perception by the public that I have not represented the highest ideals of accountability in my business operation and as a Township Trustee.”
