While most of Wells County was ringing in the New Year holiday, area firefighters were practicing their live firefighting techniques in a steel trailer designed to burn over and over again.
For the past week, the Mobile Live Fire Trainer trailer has been set up at the Wells County 4-H Park while firefighters train.
More than 75 area firefighters from Bluffton, Ossian, Liberty Center, Chester Township, Uniondale, Preble and Southwest Allen County fire departments, participated in the live fire exercises, facing ceiling high flames and temperatures above 625 degrees.
