Habitat for Humanity of Wells County wants to evict a couple from their Cherry Street residence, claiming that no rent has been paid on the property since the would-be owners occupied the house in August.
The suit, filed in Superior Court, claims that Habitat entered into a “covenant of intent” agreement with Rodney Pearcy and Theresa R. Pearcy, both of Bluffton, to build or rehabilitate the property at 1340 W. Cherry St. The date of that agreement, the suit says, was April 20, 2008.
