Two new cars will be purchased for the Bluffton Police Department.
The city's Board of Public Works and Safety agreed to allow Police Chief Tammy Schaffer to purchase the vehicles — two 2010 Dodge Chargers, one a V-8 and one a V-6 — for a combined $47,141. The cars will be part of the state bid, allowing the city a better price for the vehicles, but they will still come from Hiday Chrysler Dodge Jeep Inc.
