Gov. Mitch Daniels says it’s possible that the state may have to cut the amount of money it provides for public education. He doesn’t want that to happen, but it might.
Daniels stopped by Bluffton Thursday afternoon during a two-day visit to northeast Indiana. He was in Huntington on Wednesday to participate in an economic development announcement; he went to the Indiana/Ohio state line Thursday morning to help formally open a section of the “Fort to Port” link on U.S. 24. En route to Taylor University, he stopped in to the News-Banner to answer a few questions and express a few opinions — about state spending, his personal political ambitions (or lack of them), and the mood of the state.
