MOBILE, Ala. — Arizona Diamondbacks top pitching prospect Jarrod Parker has been named to Team USA for this year’s XM All-Star Futures Game, which is set to be played on Sunday, July 12 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis as part of the Major League Baseball All-Star Game festivities.
This marks the fourth consecutive season that a member of the Mobile BayBears’ roster has been selected to play in the All-Star Futures Game. Last year, outfielder Gerardo Parra represented the Diamondbacks for the World roster. Justin Upton and Carlos Gonzalez both attended in 2007, while infielder Luis Cruz played for the World team in 2006.
