Ossian based metal parts maker Trusted Manufacturing Inc. (TMI) announced Monday that it will add 30 new jobs by 2011 following its acquisition of an Arkansas-based bio-diesel processor maker.
TMI, which currently produces steel parts and sub-assemblies for manufacturers across the Midwest, will invest more than $865,000 to add 18,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space to its Ossian headquarters and manufacturing center for the production of bio-fuel processors.
The company has acquired Arkansas-based bio-diesel processor maker BioEquipment Inc. in August. The company’s bio-fuel kits process cooking and other virgin oils into bio-diesel that can be used for B-5, B-10, B-20 and B-100 grade bio-diesel. Trusted Manufacturing will manufacture the bio-diesel processing kits solely at its Indiana manufacturing center.
TMI is a provider of metal fabrication services and home bio-diesel production kits for agricultural, industrial and commercial markets. The company operates out of 18,000 square feet of state of the art manufacturing space. It currently employs 48 associates in Ossian and will begin hiring additional assembly, welding and professional staff this year to accommodate the new product line.
“Trusted Manufacturing has been on a rapid growth pattern due to blessings from God, our community and our employees,” explained Lane Gerber, chief executive officer and owner of Trusted Manufacturing. “With these blessings and hard work, our company has been able to guarantee our lead times to our customers and remain competitively priced. Also, being able to work closely with our local officials in Wells County has allowed us to explore options we may not have had.”
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Trusted Manufacturing Inc. up to $220,000 in performance-based tax credits and up to $22,000 in training grants based on the company’s job creation plans.
The Ossian Town Council has already granted property tax abatement for the expansion.
“Trusted Manufacturing is a company that has always been well thought of in our community,” said Dick Witte, council president. “We support and appreciate that they want to take their business in a different direction and we look forward to working with them to make their growth project a success.”
