The Bluffton Lady Tigers upped their season record to 12-13 on Saturday by sweeping a softball doubleheader from the New Haven Lady Bulldogs at Bluffton.
Brittany Folk was the winning pitcher in game one, striking out six in the 13-1 victory.
Katie Mettler got the win in game two, as the Lady Tigers won 8-3. Folk picked up a save. Mettler allowed two earned runs on five hits.
In game one, Chelsea Hunt hammered a three-run home run, while Folk had five RBIs and Chelsea Thompson three. Eliza Walburn, Sheyann Pace, Folk and Thompson each doubled. Walburn and Pace each had one RBI.
Carlie Crosbie added three hits and Ashlie Holsinger two in the Lady Tigers’ 12-hit attack.
Jennifer Curry, Walburn and Crosbie each scored twice.
In game two, Walburn had three hits, including two doubles, and drove in two runs. Jordan Moore and Natalie Shank each had two RBIs. Folk and Thompson each had one RBI. Thompson had two hits. Holsinger scored three times and Walburn twice. The Lady Tigers had 10 hits.
