The Adams Central Jets played longball against the homestanding Bluffton Tigers on Wednesday, hammering four home runs and running away with a 22-2 victory in five innings.
Mack McClain, Albert Andrews, Chris Hirschy and Mitch Hill hit home runs to lead the Jets (11-7).
The Jets out hit the Tigers 19-5 in the game that did not carry any bearing on the Allen County Athletic Conference standings. The Jets are 4-2 and Tigers 3-3 in ACAC contests.
McClain also was the starting pitcher and got the win. Four other pitchers were used by the Jets. Landon Eads (0-1) suffered the loss for Bluffton, allowing 17 runs on 11 hits over three innings.
McClain also tripled, while Andrews also doubled.
Justin Pearson singled twice for the Tigers and Matt Morrissey doubled and scored. Eads drove in one run and also scored.
