Southern Wells School Board

Editor’s Note: TWO positions are on the ballot May 6. The Nottingham Township seat is sought by incumbent Lynn Fiechter and challenger Douglas Klefeker. The Jackson Township seat is sought by Benjamin Morton and Michael L. Piqune. Current Jackson Twp. board representative Joe Hartley is not seeking re-election. Each of the candidates responded to a questionnaire from the News-Banner asking them to state their background and qualifications for the position of school board, as well as their reasons for running for the office and what they view as the most important duty of the office and/or their goals if elected. Their responses are featured below. Registered voters in Nottingham, Jackson, Chester and Liberty townships will all be eligible to cast ballots in the contests for the Nottingham and Jackson seats. Compensation for serving on the Southern Wells Community Schools Board of Trustees is : $1,000 per year.
