Wells’ jobless rate remains at 4.6%

Wells County unemployment rate remained at 4.6 percent in May, according to figures released Friday by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
The DWD’s preliminary jobless rate for May shows only seven of Indiana’s 92 counties have a lower unemployment rate than Wells. Those seven are Dubois (3.9), Hamilton (4.0), Bartholomew, Daviess, and Kosciusko (all at 4.3), and Boone and LaGrange (both at 4.5). Hendricks County joins Wells at 4.6 percent.
