Bluffton baseball team rallies in fifth inning to derail Garrett, 23-13

Usually 13 is considered an unlucky number, but Thursday evening it was a lucky number for the Bluffton Tigers’ varsity baseball team.
Down 13-10 entering the bottom of the fifth inning, the Tigers exploded for 13 runs to overwhelm the visiting Garrett Railroaders in an Allen County Athletic Conference game at Everett Scott Field.
“I don’t know if I’ve ever had (13 runs) in one inning. This is my 14th year. We’ll take it,’’ Bluffton coach Todd Morgan said. “I didn’t know our scoreboard went above 20, but I do now.’’
