First Bank of Berne nips Groomers
First Bank of Berne edged Georgie’s Dog-Gone Grooming 7-6 Tuesday in a Wells County Girls’ Softball Junior League game at Roush Park.
First Bank of Berne collected 15 hits, led by Raygan Williams with a home run, double and single. Karadyn Riley doubled twice and singled. Hannah Gallion doubled and singled twice. Monroe Heller added a double and two singles, while Hattie Russell singled three times.
Charisma Winters doubled and singled for two of Dog-Gone Grooming’s 11 hits, and Maggie Miller singled twice, and Katy Miller doubled.


Bluffton Dental hammers State Farm
Bluffton Dental pounded 22 hits Tuesday night and routed State Farm 19-8 in a Bluffton Junior League baseball game.
Bluffton Dental jumped out to a 10-1 lead after the first inning and rolled to victory.
Kaden Gerber led Bluffton Dental with two home runs and two singles and was the winning pitcher. Daniel Deal doubled twice and singled three times. Case Smith and Ethan McEvoy each doubled and singled three times. Cooper King singled three times. Tony Carread hit two singles, and Jacob Kizer added a double.
Jakobie McCormick tripled and singled for State Farm. Will Pfister doubled and singled. Patrick Evans singled three times, and Richard Zickafoose singled twice. Evans also was the losing pitcher.

F.O.P. downs Hiday Motors
The Fraternal Order of Police scored four runs in the fourth inning to defeat Hiday Motors 7-4 on Monday in a Bluffton Farm League baseball game.
Dakota Perry hit two triples for F.O.P., and Hunter Ginger doubled. Holdon Eisaman singled twice. Braxton Betancourt was the winning pitcher for F.O.P. Andrew Onuegbu was the losing pitcher and hit two singles.

The Bowling Center wins league title
The Bowling Center defeated Ossian State Bank 16-3 Monday night to win the Wells County Junior League 12-and-under regular season baseball championship.
Jason Johnloz led The Bowling Center with five runs batted in on three hits, including a double. Eli Riley had two hits, including a double. Brett Wathan added two singles. Logan House had a home run and double for Ossian State Bank. Riley was the winning pitcher, and Tonner Johnson took the loss.

F.O.F. edges Loren’s Towing Service
The Fraternal Order of Firefighters defeated Loren’s Towing Service 10-9 in a Wells County Girls’ Softball Junior League game.
McKenna Garza tripled and singled twice for F.O.F., while Emily Turmail also tripled. Audrey Gilbert doubled twice and singled.
Hanna Herndon doubled twice and singled twice for Loren’s Towing Service. Brielle Nunley doubled and singled twice.

Reminder for baseball, softball coaches
When reporting baseball and softball results, first and last names must be included. For batting statistics, only report players with multiple singles and extra-base hits, such as doubles, triples and home runs.

Schroeder tops Senior League
Lou Schroeder and Tom Reifsteck were the low individual players for Tuesday’s Senior Golf League at Green Valley Golf Course in Bluffton.
Schroeder recorded the lowest gross score of 38. Reifsteck had the low net score of 27. Members of the winning team were Butch Carpenter, Dave Lewis, Don Reeves and Schroeder. Bob Brickley was the closest-to-the-pin winner. Tom Moser had the longest putt.

Basketball camp slated at S. Adams
