Celebration slated for
Norwell baseball team
There will be a celebration for the 2013 Norwell Knights baseball team at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 15, in the high school gym. The 2013 team will be recognized for its accomplishments this year, and there will be autograph and picture opportunities with the players after the program.

In a Wells County Girls’ Softball Senior League game Thursday night, iAB Financial Bank defeated AdamsWells Internet 12-3 at Roush Park.
Aries Petty pitched a one-hitter and struck out 12 batters for iAB Financial Bank. Alyssa Marshall, Kylee Moore and Hayley Moriarity each drove in three runs.
Markle Heat defeated National Oil 15-3 in a Wells County Girls’ Softball game.
Markle Heat (6-0-1) scored eight runs in the first inning. All of the Markle Heat players had at least one hit.
First Bank of Berne 13,
Moser and Son 12
First Bank of Berne edged Moser and Son 13-12 in a Wells County Girls’ Softball Junior League game.
Hallie Gallion doubled and singled twice for First Bank of Berne. Riley Tappy and Kenlee Stoppenhagen each hit three singles.
Celia Frank and Anna Wilson each had three singles for Moser and Son.
AdamsWells Internet 13,
Bluffton Dental 1
AdamsWells Internet drilled Bluffton Dental 13-1 Wednesday evening in a Bluffton Junior League baseball game at Jefferson Park.
Landon Harris drove in four runs with an inside-the-park home run and single to lead AdamsWells Internet. Caleb Stacy tripled twice and had one RBI. Spencer Harris tripled, doubled, singled and drove in one run. Nick Sprankles and Brady Ragg each doubled and had one RBI. Noah Christal also had an RBI. Colton Yergler was the winning pitcher.
Andrew Hughes doubled in Bluffton Dental’s run in the third inning. Jarrett Phillippe was the losing pitcher.
T-Ball scores reported
Scores from Bluffton T-Ball League action are as follows: Bluffton Rotary Club 26, G.O.P. 20; Goodwin Memorial Chapel 20, Meadowvale 18.
