ORDINANCE NO. 1368
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 10 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF BLUFFTON, INDIANA
WHEREAS, considerations of public safety and well-being require that certain changes be made from time to time in the Bluffton Traffic Code, as changes are necessary to correct potentially dangerous traffic hazards and to assist the free flow of traffic within the City;
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BLUFFTON, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: There shall be added to Schedule H as referenced in Section 10.08.020 of the Code of Ordinances of Bluffton, Indiana an entry that establishes a maximum speed limit of 45 MPH on Adams Street between Angel Street and Lancaster Street.
Section 2: There shall be added to Schedule H as referenced in Section 10.08.020 of the Code of Ordinances of Bluffton, Indiana an entry that establishes a maximum speed limit of 30 MPH on Jackson Street between Main Street and the eastern corporate limit of the City of Bluffton.
Section 3: There shall be added to Schedule I as referenced in Section 10.08.030 of the Code of Ordinances of Bluffton, Indiana an entry that establishes a School Speed Zone on Jackson Street between Main Street and the eastern corporate limit of the City of Bluffton, effectively establishing a maximum speed limit of 20 MPH for that area when children are present.
Section 4: There shall be removed from Schedule I as referenced in Section 10.08.030 the entry that establishes a School Speed Zone on Washington Street between Midway Street and Bond Street.
Section 5: This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force upon adoption and publication as required by law and upon the placement and/or removal of appropriate signs in conformance with the provisions hereof.
Passed by the Common Council of the City of Bluffton, Indiana this 3rd day of September, 2013, by the following vote:
