NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given that Northern Wells Community Schools, 312 North Jefferson, Ossian, Indiana 46777, will receive sealed Bids for the 2012 Ossian Elementary School Roof Restoration Work project located at 213 South Jefferson Street, Ossian, Indiana 46777.
The Project consists of roof coating work required for existing EPDM and modified bitumen roof covering restoration work at Ossian Elementary School.
This project will be constructed under a one (1) Single Prime Contract with the Bid received on a lump sum basis.  Each proposal shall include all labor, material, and services necessary to complete the project in strict accordance with the Project Manual.
Bids will be received at the following place, date and time:

TIME: 2:00 p.m. (local time)

All Bids received at such place, date and time will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Northern Wells Community Schools Central Office Building, 312 North Jefferson, Ossian, Indiana 46777.  Bids received after such time will be returned to the respective Bidder, unopened.
Complete and detailed Bidding Documents in the form of the Project Manual are on file and may be examined by prospective Bidders at the following locations:

Complete sets of Bidding Documents may be obtained by Bidders from Eastern Engineering, 1239 North Wells Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46808, (260) 426-3119, www.easternengineering.com in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders for a deposit of $50.00 for each complete set of Bidding Documents.  Deposit will be refunded provided a bid is submitted and complete set of Bidding Documents are returned in good order within (14) days of the bid date.
Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid security, which shall not be less than five percent (5%) of the Base Bid, in the required form and submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.  The Bidder to whom an award is made shall furnish a 100% Performance Bond & Labor and Material Payment Bond in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
No Bid shall be modified, withdrawn or canceled for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the date and time set for receipt of Bids.
Bidders and sub-bidders shall not discriminate in employment practices.
Bidder shall submit a properly executed Contractor’s Qualification Statement, AIA Document A305.
All bidders are required to attend a pre-bid conference with representatives of the Owner and Design Consultant to discuss work sequence, security, contractor’s work, storage areas and requirements for contractor’s personnel working on the Project.  No additional costs of any type will be allowed by failure of the Bidder to avail himself of the privilege of on-site inspection and pre-bid conference.
Pre-bid conference and site inspection will start at 10:00 a.m., May 22, 2012 at the Central Office Building, 312 North Jefferson, Ossian, Indiana 46777.  The site, Ossian Elementary School, 213 South Jefferson Street, Ossian, Indiana 46777 will be available for observation following the pre-bid conference.  Attendance at pre-bid meeting is a prerequisite for a responsive bid.
Northern Wells Community Schools reserves the right to reject any and all Bids; is not obligated to accept the lowest or any other Bid; and may waive any formalities in bidding procedures.
