New World students to experience Old World culture

June 21, 2014 — By Glen Werling

Starting next week, a group of 15 Bluffton High School students and three adult chaperones from Bluffton will be traveling to Europe. They’ll be launching a 10-day odyssey through Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria, Liechtenstein and Switzerland.
“We’ll be learning history, doing some sight seeing and working on language,” said BHS foreign language teacher Nick Miller last month.
The students plan to visit historic sites, among which will be the Brandenburg Gate, sections of the Berlin Wall, Dachau Concentration Camp, and Prague Castle.
They also hope to be able to tour the Alps and maybe do some hiking.
