Baker, James receive honors

Bluffton Police officer Jason Baker was recognized Wednesday for his work in the area of domestic violence.
Baker was presented with the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence’s “Law Enforcement Officer of the Year” at its annual conference in Indianapolis.
Baker was nominated by Bluffton Police Chief Tammy Schaffer and Robin James of the Fort Wayne-based Center For Nonviolence.
James, who runs the Batterers Intervention program which serves Wells County among others, was also recognized as the “Batterers Intervention Provider Professional” for the state. 
“It is a huge honor and we are quite proud of them, said Schaffer.
