APC delays wind turbine decision again

July 3, 2013 — By JESSICA WILLIAMS

The fate of wind turbines in Wells County has been postponed.

Again.

Members of the Area Plan Commission unanimously agreed to table the issue until 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14. The meeting will be held at the Wells County Community Center at the 4-H Park.

APC's attorney, Andy Antrim, said there was concern about possibly violating the open door law as several community members stood in the hallway outside of the Wells Carnegie Government Annex multi-purpose conference room. The room's capacity is 69.

APC Director Michael Lautzenheiser Jr. had earlier reported that no other venue was available for the meeting.
