2nd benefit event to aid ailing child

A second community benefit is scheduled to help the family of 19-month-old Lana Singleton, who suffers from a kidney condition.
Lana has nephrotic syndrome, the News-Banner reported Tuesday, June 12. The condition has led to doctors medically shutting down her kidneys, and when she’s old enough, she’ll need a transplant.
Besides the daily medical expenses, a transplant will cost around $20,000.
